Designed by Philippe Starck, the Duravit Tulum faucet collection combines iconic design with understated elegance to create a sophisticated addition to contemporary bathrooms. Inspired by the Mayan word “Tulu’um,” meaning wall or fortress, the collection reflects a design philosophy centred on sustainable interior design. The distinctive fusion of a conical faucet body with a flat rectangular spout gives Tulum its unique architectural character, creating a look that is striking, yet calm and refined.
Designed for versatile bathroom settings, the Tulum collection can be seamlessly paired with a wide range of interiors. The series includes faucets for washbasins, bidets, showers, and bathtubs, and is available in a classic chrome finish as well as a contemporary matte black finish. Basin mixers are offered in three sizes, making them suitable for installation directly on the washbasin, behind the wash bowl, or as a single-lever concealed wall-mounted mixer.
The collection also integrates thoughtful technologies that enhance everyday comfort. AirPlus enriches the water stream with air, creating a pleasantly full flow, while HeatLock limits the maximum water temperature to help protect against scalding. Selected washbasin faucets in sizes S and M can also be equipped with the energy-saving FreshStart function, supporting more conscious water and energy usage.
To ensure a harmonious bathroom design, Duravit’s Best Match concept recommends visually and functionally compatible combinations of Tulum faucets and ceramic washbasins.
